Beautiful Hampsten.

Beautiful Hampsten.

That’s a Parlee Z1, half black, half white, with 650c Lightweight tubulars, Shimano Di2, cross levers and, wait for it…a rear rack.

That’s $6,900 for the frame, about $2.5k for the group, another $5k for the wheels, plus the fancy paint.

Probably a $15,000+ commuter bike. Wow.

Another beautiful Firefly. I really dig the anodizing these guys have championed.

But seriously, what cyclist can afford a $4,000 frame?

The Peugeot DL122 commuter bike — see the briefcase in there? It can be locked in place.

These were done in 09’ (I think). Claudio recently illustrated the cover for a charitable calendar seen here.

Wonderful watercolors of Il Campionissimo.

It has been out for a couple of seasons, but the Trek Sawyer remains one of my favorite new mountain bikes.
A bit of panache and a well thought out spec from an industry giant not usually known for its style.
You can find them for less than $1,500.

BB Cluster paint on a Pegoretti Marcelo.
Neat ode to Marcel Duchamp — although the teeth and dove? You got me.
